Old Movies

I absolutely love old movies. I could honestly sit and watch Turner Classic Movies all day. Some of my favorites range from 1930s-1960s movies. I just don't think I could live without TCM!
My absolute favorite actress of all time is Ginger Rogers. Click on her name to learn more about the beautiful starlet- for instance, did you know that her birth name was Virginia Katherine McMath?!
Here are some of my favorites of Ginger's films (along with some stills/promotional shots from each film):

Of course, Ginger's most prominent film co-star was Fred Astaire, but as you can see, she made a wide array of films working with many of the most handsome and talented actors of the 1930s and 1940s.

On February 16th, Turner Classic Movies will be showing Swing Time at 6:15 pm, but you can see the full schedule of TCM's movies here: Turner Classic Movies Website.
You can also search for your favorite movies and actors to see when TCM will be showcasing them!

What are some of your favorite old movies?

(Disclaimer: I am in no way affiliated with Turner Classic Movies or any part of the Turner Broadcasting Company, I just love old movies!)

Miss you! Hope school is going well. I am back in school myself.

  2. Jackie! I miss you too! I am actually going to school for vocal music performance now! Are you back in Ohio or still in Georgia? I feel like I haven't seen you in 4 years! Oh wait, I haven't...!

  3. I have to admit the older movies, let us say pre 1980s, do have in general superior dialogue.

I like the Italian westerns from the 1960s.

    Blessings, Meg.
